Jaime Fierro Arte y Cultura, es un espacio creativo para compartir el trabajo del Maestro Jaime Fierro y promover, simultáneamente, el desarrollo de las artes plásticas en la región.

Nuestra misión es contribuir a promover a través del arte y la cultura, un movimiento pictórico amplio entre las nuevas generaciones de futuros artistas que buscan espacios para aprender, crecer y desarrollar su talento artístico en contacto y armonía con la naturaleza.

Es la intención del Maestro Jaime Fierro Durán, compartir hoy la realidad de un espacio en la población de Ticuch, Yucatán, ubicado a unos minutos de Valladolid, donde se proyecta la construcción y apertura del Taller-Galería de la Fundación.

Nuestros talleres recibirán niños y jóvenes  de diversas comisarías y poblados tan pequeños y remotos que quizás nunca soñaron con un espacio para las artes – un espacio que les permita expresarse, aportar y compartir materiales, o simplemente jugar y adquirir nuevas técnicas y destrezas – rescatando al mismo tiempo, técnicas y motivos artísticos ancestrales. Es nuestro compromiso compartir y proporcionar un espacio comunitario para que tengan su propia galería y puedan exponer su trabajo, participando en la consolidación este nuevo movimiento cultural de la zona de Valladolid, Yucatán.

La galería principal, que también es un monumento a la memoria de quienes apoyaron su formación, contendrá obras del Maestro Jaime Fierro, litografías, y muchas fotografías, mostrando las historias y aventuras de su larga trayectoria y vida.

Para nosotros es importante abrir nuestras puertas a todos para  sumar esfuerzos y contribuir a la construcción y desarrollo del Taller-Galería. Para esto habrá que reunir fondos.

El Taller-Galería, exhibirá de forma permanente, obra del Maestro Jaime Fierro, como parte de su acervo cultural, así como también obra a la venta y obra de otros artistas que visiten el lugar y que deseen compartir con el maestro un espacio comunitario cultural en Ticuch, Yucatán.

¿Quién es el Maestro Jaime Fierro Durán?

Jaime Fierro.. es un artista plástico de origen chileno con una trayectoria de más de 58 años. Motivado por el deseo y compromiso de contribuir a la comunidad, ha decidido heredar el legado de su obra para que pueda permanecer en el estado de Yucatán y contribuir de esa manera a promover las artes y la cultura, generando un movimiento pictórico amplio.

Jaime es un renombrado artista plástico, promotor de las artes, fundador del Taller-Galería y la fundación que lleva su nombre. Desde su llegada a México en el 2002, junto con Inés García su compañera de vida, socia y asesora, se ha desempeñado como promotor y gestor del desarrollo de la cultura, particularmente las artes plásticas. Durante muchos años, Jaime y su compañera estuvieron a cargo de la galería que exhibía su obra en la 5ta Avenida de Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. Pero aquella galería era más que un foro de exhibición de su obra: por sus muros y jardines desfilaron artistas, promotores culturales, turistas provenientes de todo el orbe, amigos, artesanos, y residentes locales, convirtiendo la galería en un círculo de eventos culturales, diversidad y tertulia.  Jaime e Inés, pioneros de la cultura en Playa del Carmen, guardan un hermoso recuerdo. 

Al haber viajado extensamente e y exhibido su obra en diferentes países de Latinoamérica, Jaime entiende la historia desde múltiples perspectivas. Por ello la Fundación Jaime Fierro Arte y Cultura, se ha dado a la tarea de recopilar, documentar, promover y almacenar obra representativa del talento de los artistas jóvenes, formando de esa manera un eje integrador del movimiento cultural de la plástica e las comunidades mayas en la zona.

La nuestra es también una misión de preservar el legado pictórico de los mayas actuales para que nuevas generaciones puedan contribuir a escribir su historia a través del arte y la cultura.

Today, November 5th building work begins thanks to your support.

We managed to get some land to build our Gallery-Workshop. 

It is a non-profit organization for developing an open creative space whilst sharing the work of Jaime Fierro, and promoting the visual arts in the region. Our mission is to celebrate art, fostering a cultural movement amongst the new generations of local artists seeking a space to learn, grow and develop their talent.

The locations of this new Workshop-Gallery, the dream of Jaime Fierro is Ticuch, Yucatán, within minutes of Valladolid.

Our workshops will provide special amenities and will welcome children and youngsters coming from villages so small and remote, that their inhabitants never dreamt of having a space for the arts – a space where they can express themselves and bring their work, or simply play and acquire new skills and techniques whilst, simultaneously, reviving ancient visual motives and techniques.

Ours is a commitment to facilitate a space where members of our community may have their own gallery so that local artists can exhibit their work, whilst participating in this new cultural movement growing in Valladolid, giving the region a stand in Yucatán.

The main gallery, which is also a monument to the memory of those who supported Jaime Fierro during his formation, will comprise the work of Jaime Fierro, as well as photographs, lithographs, and a number of stories reflecting on his adventures and long trajectory as an artist. 

For us it is very important to open our doors to everyone so we can join efforts and find adhesions towards de construction of our Workshop-Gallery advocating the values of culture and art. This will naturally involve some fundraising.

In addition to a permanent exhibition of the work of Jaime Fierro, the gallery will show temporary exhibitions of pieces for sale made by other artists kin to be part of this new community at Ticuch.

Who is Jaime Fierro Durán?

Jaime Fierro.. is an artist of Chilean origin with over 58 years’ experience. Moved by his commitment to contribute to society and give something back to the community, he decided to donate the legacy of his work to the state of Yucatan so that his work can keep on for future generations thus contributing to the promotion and celebration of art, generating a local cultural movement.

Jaime is a renowned visual artist, promoter of the arts, founder of the Workshop-Gallery whose name it bears. Ever since its arrival to Mexico in 2002, along with his partner, he has committed to the advancement of the arts and culture. For several years, Jaime and his partner where in charge of the Gallery located in the Fifth Avenue of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. But the former was much more than a space for the exhibition of his work: it was the place where local artisans, tourist from around the world, intellectuals, craft makers,  gathered as they toured its gardens and walls covered with enormous canvas, making the place a point of social gathering. Jaime and Ines, pioneers of culture in Playa del Carmen, have loving memories of the place.

Having travelled extensively through Latin America Jaime where he exhibited his art in different countries, Jaime has a special interest in history. This is why his foundation has taken the mission of compiling, documenting, promoting and storing works that are representative of the youngster’s talent, thus acting as an axis for the new artistic movement of the Maya in the region.

Ours is a mission for preserving and nurturing the visual legacy of the current Maya so that the future generations can write their history through culture and art.
